SC Democratic Veterans Launch New Voter SuperPAC, 46 Hope Road,  to Register and Organize Voters

COLUMBIA, SC — Veterans of South Carolina Democratic campaigns have banned together launch a new super PAC, 46 Hope Road, that will be focused on voter registration and voter engagement in communities throughout the Palmetto State.

Leaders of 46 Hope Road — a reference to South Carolina’s 46 counties and the state motto, “While I breathe, I hope” — include Christale Spain, former director of the South Carolina Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign, Bre Maxwell, former political director for U.S. Senate candidate Jaime Harrison, and Elena Kershaw, former operations director of the South Carolina Coordinated Campaign.  “Black Women have long since been the most loyal voting group to the Democratic Party and it's an honor to build this organization with other women.”

“The energy and enthusiasm we saw last November can’t be taken for granted — not by national leaders in Washington, nor local folks on the ground,” said Christale Spain. “We need deep, coordinated organizing in communities across our state by people who know and love South Carolina best. I’m proud to have built a team of veterans of Democratic campaigns in this state who know the best ways to engage with voters, get them registered, and help our party win not just one race or one cycle, but for years to come.”

46 Hope Road’s work will be vital ahead of a pivotal 2022 gubernatorial race, and ahead of the challenges and growth opportunities that may be posed by redistricting.
